Q: What is the cost?
A: Monthly fee ranges from $750 to $875 depending on room size. Q: What is included in the monthly participation fee? A: Fully furnished shared room, fully furnished living room and kitchen, all utilities, high speed internet, Hulu with live TV, home cleaning supplies. Q: Is there a deposit required? A: Yes , there is a deposit of $300. It is typically called a sober deposit. This is forfeited if you move out without notice or damage the home. A portion of the sober deposit is forfeited if you are released due to relapse. Q: Do you have private rooms? A: Yes. Private rooms are usually for the House Leader or offered to those with the most seniority. Shared rooms offer the best support for accountability and fellowship in early recovery. Q: What should I bring? A: Clothes for a few weeks (there are free washers and dryers) basic personal items, towel and toiletries, food. Do not bring furniture or large items. We are not able to store personal items in our homes. Please be respectful of your roommate's space. |
Q: How do get started?
A: Click the red application button in the upper right corner. The application is easy and gives us the opportunity to get to know you. Q: How long am I required to stay? A: Our minimum commitment is 3 months. Most residents stay 6-12 months. One year provides the best foundation for life long sobriety. Q: How long can I stay? A: As long as you find benefit from living in the home and you are a benefit for others living in the home. Q: Do you allow pets? A: Unfortunately, no. Due to the nature of sharing the home with others this isn't possible. This includes service animals. Q: Are homes furnished with furniture? A: Yes our homes are beautifully furnished with all necessary living room, dining room and bedroom furniture. Q: Are the homes just for men? A: Yes, We follow all the rules of the Federal Fair Housing Act. Residents authorize American Sober Living to interview and place residents in the house where they live. The resident in our homes have elected to live with other men and those who identify as male only. . |
